Balancing Blood Sugar with "Empowered" Carbs

When it comes to eating carbs while on the blood sugar journey, limit eating "lonely carbs." To have an optimal, within-range blood glucose response after eating, you want to pair carbs with a source of protein, fat, and fiber. Whether or not you have pre-diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes, this tip comes in handy, becuase it also keeps you fuller longer! When you eat a regular cookie for a snack, there's limited (if any) protein and fiber. However, when you have an Empowered Cookie, there's already 7g of protein and 5g of fiber in one cookie—leading to a better blood sugar response!

Empowered Cookie uses a short list of premium ingredients that are easily identifiable.

Their vegan cookies are made with almond meal instead of flour which decreases the total carbohydrates in their cookies. Almond meal makes their vegan cookies a great source of high-quality fats which is important for blood sugar balancing. Coconut nectar is used instead of sugar becuase it is low glycemic, resulting in a less likely out-of-range blood sugar reading after eating these cookies.
