Instead of flour, we use Almond Meal & Flax Meal"
Almond Meal (also known as Almond Flour) is made from grinding blanched almonds into a fine powder. It is an excellent source of vitamin E (contains more than 100% of your daily requirement per serving), and contains good amounts of iron, riboflavin, calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

Flax Meal: made from grinding whole flax seeds into a fine powder. We use Flax meal because it is more bioavailable than whole flaxseeds; meaning we absorb more of their health benefits by consuming ground flax versus the whole seed. Flax is a great source of thiamin, magnesium, selenium and soluble fiber and is known for improving cardiovascular health, lowering blood pressure, improving digestion and cholesterol levels.

"Instead of sugar, we use Coconut Nectar"
Coconut Nectar: is tapped from the sap of a coconut palm tree and is a rich source of potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. Coconut Nectar is a thick syrup that boasts 17 different amino acids, antioxidants and is full of Vitamin B1, B2, B3, C and B6. We also love that it rates a low 35 on the Glycemic Index and is a suitable sweetener for those watching their insulin levels.

"Instead of butter, we use Sunflower Oil"
Sunflower Oil is an AHA-approved oil that is high in heart healthy unsaturated fats and is an excellent source of vitamin E and a good source of Vitamin K. We bake with organic Sunflower oil because it is heat stable, low in saturated fats and high in linoleic acid which is known to decrease inflammation in the skin and body.
